As I walk away,
I feel nostalgic
but I also remember
that you changed me.

Some changes
are small and easily visible,
but others are deep
and surface rarely.

Maybe you are not meant to be mine,
but you can’t take away the changes;
the ripple you started
continues to undulate,
driving away my body
